Unleash The Beast...
There are some golden nuggets out there, leverage points that we aren’t using, or flat out ignoring, that could help us tremendously when it comes to taking the FE Exam.
Today our mission is to reveal one of the most impactful so that you will have a leg up on the competition going in to the exam.
The TI’s (or whatever equivalent graphing calculator) got us to where we are today.
We’ve relied so heavily on them during college that we get the shakes when they aren’t by our side. Unfortunately, we are forced to kick our habit of reliance when it comes to taking the FE Exam, they aren’t allowed.
Their is some good news, though.
The latest list of FE Exam approved calculators include a couple, when used to their fullest extent, can be just as powerful for the types of questions on this exam.
These are not graphing calculators, but they will go toe to toe with them when compared with the others.
The two we favor the most are the TI-36x PRO and the Casio FX-115. Both have high level math capabilities without the graphing and programming of their counterparts…but they’re good.
We love them so much at Prepineer that we develop all of our Live and written Calculator Workshops around the use of mastering these tools.
Our advice right up front though, would be this, get them early, practice with them daily, and trust us, your performance will thank you for it later.
So let’s start preparing smarter, knowing that these golden nuggets are untapped by most, but will make our lives much easier come exam day.
Below is a previously recorded Calculator Tutorial on the “Distance Formula”, I hope you enjoy!!
