A guide to help you get going
Below you will find explanations for a series of features that are found throughout Prepineer. Anytime you want to learn more about our powerful platform of components or become stuck, hop on over and spend a few minutes learning so you can begin implementing and making more progress than ever before.
When you first log in to the system, you will land on the profile set up page.
Here you will provide information for the system to use to develop your suggested Track of Study that’s fully in line with the latest NCEES specifications for your discipline.
Information required on this page is as follows:
- What Exam are you Studying For?
- What Discipline will be your focus?
- How many years out of school?
- Have you taken the exam before?
- When are you taking the exam?
Once your information is populated in full, a button titled “Continue to Learning Dashboard” will appear for you to click and continue forward to your Learning Dashboard.

Your Track of Study is populated with the most important subjects that you will need to know come exam day.
The flow of this suggested course of study is based on the experience of those here at Prepineer as well as a proprietary algorithm developed to ensure the appropriate subjects are highlighted and organized to make the most impact as you make your way towards your exam day.
However, we never want to pigeon hole any student in to a hard coded course of study…this defeats the whole purpose of allowing one the flexibility of fitting studies around their schedule.
With that, each student has the ability to edit their track to flow in whatever order they so please. If you want to put your harder subjects at top, you can.
If you want to put the harder subjects at the end, you can do that as well.
The whole point is to provide a platform that is not only technologically advanced, but provides an element of flexibility that assists in developing a plan that is perfect and makes sense for each student.

Your Track of Study is populated with the most important subjects that you will need to know come exam day.
Within each of these subjects are topics that are defined precisely in line with the latest NCEES exam specifications.
The flow of these topics are based on the experience of those here at Prepineer, the proprietary algorithm developed around the system, as well as the natural progression of content in the educational realm.
However, we understand that being tied in to a strict flow of content can be both restricting and frustrating for students.
Some may be an expert in one area of a subject, while lacking in another.
Maybe that same student feels that a certain topic needs to lead up to another topic rather than the other way around.
Either way, each student has the ability to edit the topics within each subject to flow in whatever order they so please.
They can also silence the topics altogether if they don’t want to see them in their course of study at all.
Any changes made though are not everending. If the student decides that they want to study a topic they once silenced, they can do that, simply by jumping back in the edit screen and bring the topic back in to view.
Developing the perfect plan for the student is the foundation of a successful program, Prepineer provides this ability.

A feature of this Note Track is the Material Assessment buttons.
These buttons allow you to assess your comfort level and understanding of the content as you make your way through the exercises.
There are three options for you to select, “Good”, “With Time”, and “Review”
If you feel solid as you are making your way through the content, select the “Good” button, which will highlight green.
If you are ok at the content and could definitely use some touch up if you get the time, select the “With Time” button, which will highlight yellow.
Maybe you are struggling with the subject and you know that you need to come back to it at a later date prior to the exam, then you would select “Review”, which will highlight red.
This feature can be adjusted as you make your way through the subject.
Maybe things start off slow, and you select the “Review” button right off the bat. But as you make your way through the content, you begin to warm up and decide that you are good to go, you can switch your assessment to “Good”.
This workflow allows you always keep a close monitor on your strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to continue making headway through your studies, without losing sight on the subjects you know you need to go back to.
This is done by rolling up each one of these assessments to your Learning Dashboard, giving you a 30,000 foot overview of the health of your studies.
The goal at the end of the day is to see a lot of green, leading to your best performance come exam day.
